RJ Palano has been involved in the real estate business since 1979 and started this career path in 1979 in Western New York. A massive action kind of guy, Palano individually acquired a portfolio of over 300 single family homes and duplexes in Western New York during the 1980s. Palano left the land of the liberal consumer protected state of New York in the early 2000s and created a wholesale/retail operation based in Tampa, Florida. During the early 2000s, the wholesale operation covered the entire state of Florida and later in that decade, we added Charlotte, NC.
When the Great Recession hit, the Great Depression began for those who hung on to a lot of houses, especially in Florida, like Palano.
We got creamed and had to reinvent ourselves - again. Thus, we began the arduous task of examining REO tapes and acquiring properties in packages all over the country. This allowed us to make distinctions on where would be the best place to set up our new model for long term cash flow and appreciation.
After acquiring houses in 12 states and over 50 cities, we settled into the Atlanta Metropolitan area.
Since that time, approximately 2010, we’ve bought and sold over 900 houses in this area as well as built over 75 houses for hedge funds for their rent and hold portfolio.
While the model was being perfected, Palano traveled to various continents and developed international promoters that sell all his turnkey properties. Continually perfecting systems for scalability, as we source new properties for wholesale, retail, turnkey, as well as our own portfolio. As the market changes, we change right along with it.
